Question 1
Explain a time when a project you were working on went poorly and how did you handle it?
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stamats in Jan 2021
Interview
Applied for the role on LinkedIn and messaged the hiring manager afterwards. She messaged me back quickly, and we set up an interview a few days later. Overall interview was chill and enjoyed the conversation. Moved to the next round which was a panel interview, which also went well. I then had to complete a writing assignment for which they do offer payment (which is awesome) but the details were pretty vague. They don’t give you basic info like who the audience is for and where the web copy would be featured etc. I submitted the project ahead of schedule via email and a few hours later I get an automated email stating I’m no longer in line for the role. Confused, I reached out to the manager I’ve been chatting with. She said that they already sent an offer and it was accepted before I even had sent in the assignment. Sooooo they had me take time out of my day to complete an assignment for a role they had already filled prior to me starting it. And then didn’t tell me personally. Overall not a good experience!

Question 1
Do you have any experience with web copy and writing content that is not blog related?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Stamats (Cedar Rapids, IA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I was called about setting up an interview, and it helps to pronounce the company's name correctly (STAY-mates). On the day of the interview, it started with a panel format with 3 people. The questions were casual questions about technology and business, and it was very comfortable.
