An external recruiter reached out to me.
First there was an initial discussion with the VP of Engineering and the HR.
Next the interview was conducted by 1-2 years experienced candidate who had no technical knowledge and asked a 5 year candidate design question. Second there were 2 junior folks with 2-3 years experienced again asking design based question and again they didn't have any knowledge on basic design principles and techniques.
There was no coding round, no proper senior technical interviews. The level of interview was really below par and you can understand when junior folks with 1-3 years experience interview 5-14 years experienced candidates.
I am not even sure about the quality of the product, it seems just because of little funding the junior folks in the company are way over their heads with respect to technological skillset.
Be extra cautious before accepting their interviews requests or any offer, it would be a waste of time.
