Had an interview here for a .net programming position with asp .net mvc. Never really understood what they were looking for in a programmer. Didn't ask any c# questions or ones about the general architecture of mvc as implemented in asp .net. Nothing about .net framework or any of its languages. Nothing in the area of design patterns, entity framework, database languages or basics of asp .net mvc like filters, routing or controllers. I don't know all of the HTML helper methods off the top of my head but have a good idea what a lot of them are like action link, the ones for making a post back form and so on. Nothing about viewbag, viewdata or tempdata. They ask me about one I didn't use because my last three jobs were mvc applications for showing data grids graphs and charts. Hence no offer. Mostly just not connecting with the one programmer in the room who seemed to be just doing his own thing and seems to be a very fly by night place.
