I was contacted by one of their team members for an interview. Figuring it was a basic behavioral screening, one would assume it was a phone interview. There was no message to indicate otherwise. However, they expected me to come in for the first 30 minute interview. No problem, however I am living over an hour away at the moment, so I prefer not to drive in to Sydney for something that can easily be done over the phone. The questions asked were straight forward. A few things that were already clearly listed on my resume and talking briefly about what I was looking for in a job. Everything seemed to go well and I left feeling good about the company. However, I was later contacted saying they would not move forward with no explanation provided. They already had my resume so if they didn't think I was a good fit they could have excluded me before wasting my time. On top of this, they simply stopped responding when asking for feedback on why I wasn't selected. Overall, I can't imagine any real reason since nothing technical was even asked. They definitely need to improve their interview strategy as I felt the procedure and communication were both poor and unprofessional.
