Interview
So, I was scheduled this past week for an interview for the ME/ Justice of the Peace Liaison at STA, and it was a mess.
On the day of the interview, I got an email saying the hiring manager couldn’t make it. Totally understandable, right? But then they said they’d get back to me next week, which I assumed was to reschedule, which made me hopeful. Then later that night, I got this generic form letter saying I wasn’t qualified for the role, even though I felt like I was way overqualified!
It just felt super disrespectful, like my time didn’t matter at all. Plus, as candidates, we’re also trying to figure out if we want to work there too, and this experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Oh, and I checked out their Glassdoor reviews afterward, and they’ve got some pretty rough ratings. Makes me wonder what’s really going on there. Hopefully, they can sort out their communication because this whole thing was a letdown.

Interview
Weeks of no contact, no familiarity with resume provided with application, never responded after interview despite assurance that they would be in contact either way. From the looks of these employee reviews it seems like I dodged a bullet. The desperate reviews stating “No cons to working here!!!” are a huge red flag. My advice is to be careful.

Question 1
“Tell me about a time you went above and beyond your supervisor’s expectations.” AKA tell me about how you do things not in your job description. Run, guys.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Southwest Transplant Alliance (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2022
Interview
Tedious, ridiculously long periods of no communication or follow-up, and a litany of panel interviews where the questions are lazy and uninformed of previously provided cover letters and resume. Very disappointed, all that build up, making accommodations for meetings last minute at that, for months, then to not even get the job. If you're going to go with an internal candidate, then don't put others through that.
