      Customer Service Agent Interview

      12 Aug 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Austin, TX) in Aug 2015

      Interview

I submitted my application I believe one week prior. Was contacted on 8/5/15 to schedule a phone interview for 8/6/15. The Phone Interview was very brief. Interviewer was very nice. Asked the following questions: Why SWA? Why I left previous jobs? Could I meet the mandatory requirements for a Uniform? Sizes 0 - 22. Stated the wage and would that be acceptable? Was I willing to work nights, weekends and holidays? Was told I would hear by 8/11/15 if I made it to the next round. Phone Interviewer called me the following day, Friday, after 6 PM CST, to tell me that I had made it to the next round and that she would email me with details. My F2F was scheduled for Tuesday, 8/11/15. I arrived early at the airport to observe the interactions of the Customer Service Agents. I was interviewed on time, whereas other applications had been waiting over 30 minutes. I'm not sure why I went in front of them. My Interviewer was wonderful. His name was Roger. He made me feel very comfortable and this was one of the most relaxed interviews I have every encountered. Roger stated I should hear back by Friday, 8/14/15. I will try to update this review if it allows me to once I hear back from Southwest. I am very excited about this potential Career Change. Work Hard, Play Hard, Travel Hard! Good Luck to all of you Interviewing and I hope you find this Review helpful. Have a Wonderful Day!

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Phoenix, AZ)

      Interview

The interview was a very casual meet and greet. Several HR employees were sitting at different tables casually asking questions to potential candidates. If the HR Rep was interested, he had you speak to another one of his colleagues. From that point, if they both gave you the thumbs up, you were drug tested and finger-printed on the spot. A job offer came within ten days of that first and only interview.

Behavioral interview questions, know things about the company, have questions for the interviewer, smile smile smile. Have knowledge of the position expectations and qualifications. I would recommend STAR method answers and just be prepared and be yourself.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Denver, CO) in Jun 2023

      Interview

I had attended a hiring event and it was great, Southwest seems to be a great company. It took hours though, so if you plan on attending a hiring event held by Southwest, I'd plan a good 5 hours to be there. Show up dressed good, prepared for an interview. Take your resume.

      Question 1

They ask you questions about how you'd react in situations where the customer is frustrated, yelling, etc., coworker disagreements, if a coworker is doing something wrong (how you would address them/ deal with it), and lastly why you're interested in the company.
