I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Southern Company (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2017
Interview
I was referred by another intern so this might be a bit different than usual. I emailed my resume to my potential supervisor, and we scheduled a time that I was able to come in for a few hours. I met with my direct supervisor and we talked - very casually, with maybe a few behavioral questions thrown in there - for probably 30 minutes. Then I did a sort of round robin with the team, going from one person to another to see what it was they did and I assume so they could learn more about me. After about 2 hours we passed the executive that was in charge of their department and after introductions I then went in his office for another 30 minute chat. This wasn't planned at all so it was a but more high stress, but he focused on very casual topics with a few subtle behavioral inquiries. After that I think I waited a week or so and they called me and offered me the job.

Interview
It was a panel of three interviewers, and they asked a handful of behavioral questions. They were very respectful and seemed interested in hearing my responses, but the interview style was pretty rigid overall.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Southern Company (Athens, GA) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview was completely behavioral and pretty chill, they asked predictable questions. Just come prepared with answers with common interview questions and the interview will be fine. I received an offer after about a week.

The interview was conducted in a period of about 30 minutes. I answered some basic questions and told them about my interests. The whole thing took 30 minutes about 30 minutes in total. Very low key.
