1 virtual interview with a recruiter, 1 virtual interview with some leaders; 1 in-person interview with a local prospective peer manager and a remote prospective peer via Zoom
The first two interviews were pretty standard behavioral and tell-us-about-your-history fare. The third interview involved a typical systems design / architecture question on a whiteboard, and then a series of questions about how you would design a team or teams to tackle the problem. I took it as an honest question on what your opinion would be about the best way to tackle it; and proceeded. They were nice, but the feedback that followed indicated they were expecting to have their own organizational design preference shot back at them rather than an honest opinion from yourself (even though I had indicated I'd worked happily in multiple kinds of organizations in the past and adapted to the team rather than forcing my own preference; since they asked how I would do it, I answered honestly, and this was one of two negative feedback items I received).
Kudos for providing the feedback at least; it's useful and respectful.
