I applied online and had an interview with the recruiter. The interview went really well, I got a ton of affirmation that I was an ideal candidate, would be a great fit for the role and for the org, and that I should count on meeting with the team. I then completed the 3-4 hour take home exercise - I was very confident in my submission as it perfectly matches the work that I do now - however I was told almost immediately that I will not be moving forward. Obviously these things happen, but really frustrating to be given such validation and positive feedback in the interview, only for it to be almost immediately walked back.
