The interviewer never called me at the time first scheduled. I had to contact their Talent Acquisition team and reschedule. The next day the same guy calls me (5 minutes late too) and is immediately confrontational about why we never spoke the day before at our original interview time/date. I told him that they must've goofed up on entering my number. They had my correct phone number in their system because I had received a voicemail prior to this interview from their team. So this guy messed up on my phone # and had the audacity to blame it on me for somehow not being available when I waited for his call for a good 30 minutes. We proceeded with the phone interview by him asking me the typical bogus interview questions and at the end I ask him a few basic questions about the job like how does one become forklift certified, what are the typical OT hours required, etc. He couldn't answer a single one. He said I'd have to ask the local hiring manager. This guy was like talking to a NPC (non-playable character) in a video game. No personality whatsoever, dumb questions as if he never looked at my resume, and overall a bad first impression for the company. Even if I had received an offer from them, I would've declined based on this experience. I don't know how a recruiter can goof up such an easy phone interview especially with someone as personable and friendly as me. The company missed out on easily one of their best new employees by having this recruiter work for them.
