I applied online and got a phone interview pretty quickly. I was then asked to complete a design challenge, which required me to wireframe and create the user workflow for one of their internal projects. I spent 4-5 hours completing the project. After submitting, I didn't hear back for two weeks, so I sent an email to check-in. I was forwarded 3 times, all to different recruiters who had no idea what I was talking about. Finally, I was told the recruiter I was originally in contact with was no longer working for the company and the position I was applying for was axed. That's when I knew something fishy was going on because none of the recruiters seemed to have any idea about the design challenge or where it ended up. I felt taken advantage of for spending hours wireframing and sharing my ideas. I seriously would sue if I ever found out that Snap ended up using my design, but there's no way of finding out. I'd suggest staying away from this company if you're a creative and are asked to complete a design challenge. They are an unethical and dishonest company. For all we know, all of their ideas came from other candidates who shared their brilliant ideas during the interview process.
