      Inside Sales Interview

      26 Sept 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Culver City, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at SnackNation (Culver City, CA) in Sept 2015

      Interview

It appears that they are holding weekly group interview cattle calls. Several hours out of your life in a group format feels like your time is being disrespected to me if it's an ongoing weekly round up. All due respect to how great the opportunity is? We get that your time is valuable-- everyone's time is valuable. Pretty typical questions, like what are you reading? Talk about a time you over achieved? Why do you want to be here? Why do you want to leave your current job? Tell me about the most tenacious person you know and how you are different from them?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at SnackNation in Mar 2016

      Interview

Group setting. Honestly, I am comfortable with talking to a group so no problem there. Sales manager separates the group for the "tour" then switch halfway through. It was hot (no AC) in Culver City and the parking was not good either,so come early. I had a sense I didn't fit the office culture. I was the only one wearing a professional suit and older then the CEO as well. The sales manager is they abrupt and asks questions with a time limit. He will ask if you have seen his LinkedIn videos! I didn't. The office is an open format,no privacy. One shared bathroom. They didn't offer any water bottles or snacks. I'm not sure why they said the interview would be "fun"? The only fun thing they did was give a high five upon greeting you and also they did a pop quiz to win a pen on their mission statement. No hacky sack games or fun elements beyond the high fives. I think the perfect fit for this office would be someone who is cast in a Mt.Dew commercial, not for an experienced professional. Good luck with the frat house!
