I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Slalom (Denver, CO) in Mar 2021
Interview
This was a fully virtual interview process due to COVID-19. I was referred by a current employee of the company, but it was not an independent application for any particular role, therefore it was understandable that I did not hear from recruiters for a bit of time. They reached out to me about an initial role, but due to timing of a vacation that I had planned, the role was filled before my return. They then informed me that they had two potential opportunities and would stay in touch when they knew more. I heard back in a couple of weeks, and started the interview process of this current role. I ended up interviewing last minute for a consulting position that opened up simultaneously. Interviews occurred in a timely manner, and I believe there were 3-4 for each position. I was provided updates over the next couple of weeks, and was provided an update on both at one time - I was not offered a consulting role position, but I was offered the Operations position (initial process). This feedback took about a week longer than initially conveyed. In defense of the Recruiting team, they were not initially planning to work with separate timelines of multiple positions. Overall timeline - Referral, heard back a month or so after this, first interview scheduled about two weeks following, interviews occurred for all positions over the following 2-3 weeks, decision provided about two weeks following the last interview. Overall, it was a good experience and the Recruiting team was more responsive and efficient than other processes that I have taken part in. Each person was very friendly and welcoming, and I received (actively requested) feedback post-process, particularly in regards to the position that I did not receive (consulting).
