Super fast. Put in application online, few days later, received generic qualification email listing interview dates/locations. Went to interview 3 weeks later.
WEAR BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL CLOTHES
Had a group interview in front of 60+ people. They had a panel of 4 employees who compiled a list of favorites for a 1 on 1 interview later that day. Finished the 1 on 1 interview in under 10 minutes. Waited 3 weeks to hear back if you were as accepted. Once you are, they send a packet with information you need to memorize BEFORE going to training. Have to get a medical exam and fax it in with other important documents before you go to training. Memorize EVERYTHING in the packet - you will be tested on it.
Pack only business professional clothes - NO sleeveless shirts allowed unless you are wearing a cardigan or blazer. No skirts that ride up over knees when you sit down. Bring a belt, watch, no hidden footie socks - only tights. Only 2 days off. Rest of time sitting in class watching slides and listening to lectures. BE ON TIME. Multiple people got kicked out for not following schedule. It's like a college class, so take it seriously. Study, do the homework, do well on quizzes and tests, pay attention during lecture, don't fall asleep, and you'll be fine.
Training is 4 weeks long then you go home and pack for moving to your new base. 2nd half of training in actual airplane with passengers depends on your instructor - most of them are really nice and encouraging. Remember all the little tips and tricks they tell you for how to make service easier. This training usually takes 5 days. Take advantage of it. Once it's done, you're on your own!
Own the skies, be confident that you know what you're doing because YOU DO! Always ALWAYS smile. Some days get hard and you're tired and hungry and your feet are killing you, but you are there for the safety and well being of your passengers, so take a deep breath, remember why you wanted this job and just smile :)
Good luck!!!
