No explicit behaviorals. One first round case and three cases on superday with a few behavioral questions as an icebreaker. Mostly straightforward cases with one more conceptual, tougher case. It was tough to gauge how well they went but the interviewers positive feedback after each. Solid recruiters
2 rounds. 1 case interview first round with some behavioral sprinkled in and immediately moved to final round. 3 case interviews final round with behavioral in each of the interviews
1 interview first round and 3 interview final. Typical consulting first round, but final round had more uncommon cases, including a bit of brainteasing, unseen data visualization plots, and very uncommon business case. More emphasis on your ability to think mathematically and extract insights from data. Hard to prepare for these final round interviews. Not your typical case
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Simon-Kucher (Munich, Bavaria)
Interview
2 Interviews each 1h. The interviews had a nice climate and felt more like a conversation.
1. Personal Fit
- Why Simon Kucher (Had to prepare a slide before the interview)
- What are your strengths
Typical personal fit questions. They were very keen on what feedback I received in previous internships.
2. Case Study
First was pricing-related and very numerical. I had to do a lot of mental math.
The second was a go-to-market case, where I had to interpret charts.
3. My questions
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What pos/neg. feedback did you receive in your previous internships?
What pricing strategies do you know?
