Application
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Simon-Kucher (New York, NY)
Interview
Behavioral Screening then proceeded to first round case interview. Nothing crazy just brush up on mental math. Did well and got good feedback but not sure how much they were hiring for laterals.
The first step with HR felt very scripted, as the interviewer read from a checklist to see if I fit. The second step with the hiring manager involved a pricing case and went fine, though a bit nerve-wracking. The third step was a grueling 3-hour back-to-back interview with senior management. The first interviewer was rude. They were reading emails, pausing frequently, and did not leave time for questions. The second was rushed, arriving late and leaving early. The third canceled on me twice.
They kept saying the interview was more like a conversation and that soft skills mattered more than hard skills, but this wasn’t reflected in the process. I was rejected, but saw the job reposted a month later. It seems they’re unsure how to properly vet candidates, and this process is not the right way.
It was a slow and disorganized process from start to finish. Interview was rescheduled multiple times. Once I finally interviewed, the interviewer was rude and did not want to be there.
