Interview
Interviews are fair and to the point. Nobody here wants to waste your time, and if it's not a good fit you'll find out sooner rather than later. You may talk to just the CEO and the Lead Manager, or mostly the CTO, or some variation thereof, but it won't be a lot of wasted time either way.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Optimization and low-level efficiency. How would you squeeze more performance out of a 30 FPS game that can't drop frames.
I was ghosted after completing an emailed test. I committed two hours of my time, the least you can do is respond with a follow up. Also seems like it does not pay well at all for the Miami area and what level of expertise they expect from you. You can do better elsewhere.

Interview
Sent a worksheet with technical questions, covering color, assembly, c-level optimizations, gameplay experience, and oop.
Then talked with owner and technical staff. Owner asked conversational questions, other interviewer discussed computational geometry problem.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The owner needed to see three things from me, all red flags:
1) Would I work in constant crunch mode (~50 hours a week).
2) Would I accept a verbal promise of a bonus a year later in lieu of a standard salary anytime soon (or, let's be honest, ever), let alone competitive compensation for unhealthy hours.
3) During a pandemic and at a time before I was eligible for the vaccine, would I be willing to move and work in-office.
