Begin by submitting your resume online. If you resume is accepted you will receive an email from a recruiter asking to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview is used to gauge your interest and if need be move you onto the next round. Understand why you want to work for Sherwin-Williams and what you want to get out of it.
If the recruiter senses your conviction you then will move onto the next stage: store visit. The store visit provides you with the opportunity to understand the daily tasks and duties of an MTP. Your store visit is crucial and should not be taken lightly. Learn all you can from the store manager as he or she will be deciding whether you're well suited for the next round.
Phone interview to recap your visit. If all goes well your last step is the final interview with the district manager.

the interviewer didn't really care and was on the phone during the interview and made me wait over a month just to hear from them to schedule an interview. when I showed up the person didn't remember me and only asked me questions about personal life and not much about the job.

Was very easy and comfortable. You will be doing a phone interview asking basic customer service questions, in store interview with a store manager, and a video chat with the district store manager. If you’re calm and amicable there would be no way to not get hired.
