I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Shell (Calgary, AB)
Interview
Application process included usual entering of information, uploading resume, etc. The next step was to complete a series of tests to assess personal qualities with respect to working in a team environment and various other personality traits. After successful completion of these tests, a third test was required. This test gave you a set allotment of time to answer 16 math/statistical analysis based questions. This part was difficult but seems to have been evaluated leniently, perhaps depending on the type of position you were applying for (technical v. non-technical). After a few weeks, was contacted for a phone interview, which lasted about an hour. Another few weeks passed before I was contacted to travel to Calgary for Shell Recruitment Day. This was a 2-day process that encompassed a series of interview type activities, with multiple assessors. Overall, although intense, the process was extremely comprehensive with plenty of opportunity to demonstrate your abilities. Very fair for a new grad interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Case analysis followed by a series of very challenging questions. The best and worst part about the whole process is that it really makes you accountable for your answers, which, although difficult on the interviewee, is obviously very effective for the interviewers to see what you're made of.
