First you submit your resume via email. I don't recall receiving an automated response that it was received but I did receive a phone call from their HR the next day for an interview. The interview happened the same week with someone in the position for the role you would be filling. It was my understanding this would have been 1 of 3 interviews that would occur. The 2nd with the Creative Director and the 3rd with Finance. Note that the bottom line is you were initially interviewing with someone who was NOT in position to hire you, or even make the selection, and most likely not even qualified to do the interview. It was NOT HR or a managing Principal or Director or other manager as it would typically be in this field.
Secondly, there is absolutely no follow up by Shea to your interview. I have interviewed here twice in the last 5 years and it was handled exactly the same. I followed up with a thank-you and a call once a week for two weeks. My call was never returned. I also did not receive a letter stating anything like "Thank you for your time. It was our pleasure speaking with you. Unfortunately we have selected another candidate." OR "Unfortunately we have chosen not to fill the position for which you were interviewed". I say this because that's the rumor with this organization. I was well qualified for the position, I liked the company, and felt my interview went well so the lack of professional courtesy and respect to the potential employee was quite disappointing for me.
