I recently interviewed for a senior creative role at SharkNinja and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The hiring manager showed up 10 minutes late, seemed unfamiliar with the role I applied for, and asked no substantial or relevant questions during the conversation. Responses to my answers were mostly “ok” or “perfect,” with no real engagement or follow-up.
It felt like the call had been forgotten about until the last minute, and I walked away from the interview feeling invisible and confused about the purpose of the conversation. Interviews should be two-way and energizing—this one was neither.
Feedback is a gift, and I hope SharkNinja re-evaluates how their teams are approaching the interview process, especially for senior creative roles. Candidates deserve the same level of preparation and respect that companies expect in return.
