      Regulatory Affairs Specialist Interview

      30 Aug 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Riyadh
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Servier (Riyadh)

      Interview

I was recently interviewed for a Regulatory Affairs position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In the beginning of the interview, I was told that the this will be an abnormal interview and that it will be just a conversation. During the interview, I was just given advice by the interviewers and I was not asked questions about my experience, my career aspirations, or anything related to the position. Instead, I was told that I should pursue a medical representative position instead. Keep in mind that I work as a Pharmacovigilance Officer, and I applied for this position because it was my goal to work as a Regulatory Affairs professional since I was in university. I was attacked for my CV, and was told that I was arrogant and that I exaggerated my skills on my CV. The interview was just a series of attacks and advice about what I should pursue instead. I was not asked a single question about my capabilities, what I knew about Regulatory Affairs, or any sort of technical questions. I was not even given a chance to speak or defend myself. I prepared for the interview for a whole week, and was not given the proper chance. Why was I asked to come for interview if I was just going to be told what to do with my own career and be berated for my experience? If the interviewers had someone else in mind, why not just recruit them and not waste anyone else's time? Was it so they could say they interviewed women and they weren't good enought. I really thought Servier was great company but this experience really changed my opinion. It was a humiliating experience.
