Applied through the web site and was contacted 3 weeks later by the recruiter for a screening. Setup with the hiring manager after.
Spoke with hiring manager (Sr. Director) for 1 hr. Good conversation with challenging Product Management questions. Ended on a good note with a promised follow-up.
Didn't hear anything for 5 weeks, multiple follow-ups attempted.
Recruiter finally reached back and setup a follow-up panel with (4) 1 hour interviews back-to-back. Spoke with (2) Engineers and (2) PM's. Slew of questions that were not organized at all, ranging from "tell me about a time when you had a difficult work challenge", to "explain how you work with Engineers". Generally average questions but not a smooth process.
Heard nothing for 1.5 weeks, after follow-up.
Was put through to Final Round presentations (unclear how many candidates made it). Was asked to produce a 15-20 minute presentation on a "product or project" that I led from start-to-finish. Very little detail other then "explain everything".
Sent a 45 minute Zoom invite for the Panel. Presented to the Panel, madeup of the Hiring Manager and members of the PM team. Most people did not have Video on. Received almost no questions. Very cold crowd. Hiring manager seemed engaged.
At 30-minutes (after a few questions) was told that we had a hard-stop...despite the 45 minute meeting.
Was informed that I didn't make the final selection a few days later.
Generally I would describe the process as:
- Poorly communicated
- Very poor recruiter experience
- Great hiring manager with a very poorly formatted team
- Not particularly "receptive" or "welcoming"
- Extremely vague timelines and decision process
Proceed with those items in mind. Disappointed in the process here for a such a reputable company.
