I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Selby Jennings (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2020
Interview
it was blunt and friendly, didint really know who was going to be interviewing me beforehand or even what space I was going to be interviewed for.
I thought I was going for a general recruiter role and was put in a space that did not work out.
It is a HUGE regret that I didnt discuss the importance of that more early on. (cant change spaces after you get the job)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself?
How did you get into recruiting?
What motivates you?
Good, but hard. You really have to know what you are talking about. They get nitty gritty about what they want to know. Make sure you really do your research before your interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Selby Jennings (New York, NY) in Jan 2019
Interview
Met with 4 different "team leaders", basic interview questions, nothing too complicated.
I assume that the turnover is high, since they have ads all over the internet all the time...
The interviewers couldn't even answer clearly about the work hours "Officially, its 8-6p...
What's unofficially then? The salary is $45,000, while the ad says $70,000. Rigged commission scheme. It's incredible how the company doesn't value one's time!
All the reviews that point out frat culture are definitely true, couldn't pass by without being cat called... this was so awful!
