30 minutes to interview. These people aren’t serious.. The first person I spoke to was a manager. I thought I was talking to the a “Valley Girl”. i looked the background up. Worked in retail up until two years ago. No disrespect but seriously if this is manager level, called about 10 minutes late and at first I thought it this a spam caller. is this the best they have?. Didn’t hear from them for 2 months then I get an email from the “manager” apologizing saying sorry I was “busy” and asked to set up another call. Round 2 wasn’t all that much better. 3 people, 30 minutes. 2 were late getting on the call. I was asked basic questions on training, GRC/etc. When I asked the senior person on the call the make-up of their customer base (it’s relative to the security and applicable laws and regulations). He did not know the spilt or makeup. Basically a member of senior leadership does not know which segments they derive the majority of their revenue stream from. This is basic MBA level 101 type questions around marketing, revenue, customers and prospects and he didn’t know. If I am a billable consultant or I am managing a security consulting practice, these are the things I am going to need to know to run a profitable practice.

The interviewer sounded very dull and unexciting as if interviewing was an undesirable chore. Their expectations of consultants seemed fairly excessive for the position. It sounded like an environment where you'd be working around the clock and they certainly don't seem like they pay well enough for that. The questions were a little bizarre as well. They were archaic and out of place for a field with a negative unemployment rate. Overall, it just felt a bit negative and that they didn't care about the work or the people.
