I was interviewed first by the VP of the Columbus office followed by two of the software developers. I spoke with the VP again after that. I was also supposed to speak with a member of the Memphis office via conference call but that did not happen. When I inquired about it after the interview, I was set up for a phone interview with him the following day. I then sent emails thanking them for the interview and restating my interest and qualifications.
Three weeks passed with no contact from them, so I sent another email to state I was still interested and to inquire about their decision. I was told that they liked me very much for the position, but there was internal debate about perhaps moving the position to their Memphis office.
Another three weeks pass with no contact whatsoever. I reached out again and heard they had still not reached a decision. After confirming that they would hire me if the position were to be in Columbus, I offered to move to Memphis and take the position there if they needed me to.
I waited yet again for two weeks. By contacting them a third time I found out that they had filled the position with someone in Memphis because they felt the position needed someone with more experience, even though they had clearly stated that they already liked me for the job.
Sedgwick CMS was extremely slow in communicating, and never once attempted to contact me unless I had reached out to them. Their intentions were never transparent, and they misrepresented their intentions in a very major and grievous way. Sedgwick is by far the most unprofessional company I have interviewed with. I will never consider another position with Sedgwick, and I advise everyone else to steer clear of them as well.
