I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sears (San Bernardino, CA) in Sept 2018
Interview
Human resources looked very swamped with work but I didn't have to wait too long. I was walked into a small office where I was interviewed. The interview was pretty fast, around 10 minutes and I was prepared with the questions because I had done research. They also made me sell a Sears Card to them in English and Spanish because I'm bilingual.
Took like 20 mins. Very easy but questions seemed random. It also seemed like management had no idea they had interviews scheduled cuz there were several of us waiting for a long time
The interview process can vary depending on the company and position, but here’s a general idea of what to expect:
1. Application Review: After applying, they’ll review your resume. If they’re interested, you’ll get a call or email to set up an interview.
2. Phone/Video Interview: A lot of places do an initial screening over the phone or via video call. They’ll ask about your background, why you're interested in the job, and how your skills fit the role. It’s usually a casual chat, but make sure to prepare by knowing the company and job description.
3. In-Person Interview: If you pass the initial screening
Fill application form to apply and wait few days before submitting it to the company. Had to provide personal documents and references from previous employers. Initially was interviewed on a phone.
