I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Search Fund Accelerator
Interview
I had 3 interviews starting on March 2020, and unfortunately I did not have a good experience.
For the following reasons:
-The second interview was very unprofessional because the interviewer did not have the questions ready at the beginning of the interview
- They also make you find information on 50 companies. This process takes several hours to complete, and I do believe this is something they do to get work done for free. If this is about testing your knowledge, they should send you 10 or 15, but not 50 companies.
- They pay minimum wage for the analyst position and they don't pay their interns. Also, SFA got sued for not paying its interns back in 2018.

Application
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Search Fund Accelerator in Aug 2020
Interview
There was an initial phone screen with a recruiter, and then an interview with a current analyst where you discuss some exercises they ask you to do, and then a final interview with a searcher

Question 1
Why are you interested in this job?
Explain your choices for the screening exercise
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Search Fund Accelerator (Boston, MA) in Apr 2020
Interview
I have applied online and got contacted back I believe two weeks later. Then I got a phone interview and after the phone interview, I moved to the second part which was a test on Excel. The test was about analyzing companies worthy of being acquired (by looking at characteristics such as industry cycle, productivity...). I had a deadline of 3 days to submit my work. After submitting it I haven't got a reply back! Not even a "we're sorry you're not selected". Which is pretty disrespectful considering the amount of effort and time this test took me! (about over 20 companies to analyze). Now thinking about it I don't want to join a company that doesn't care about candidates! that only pay minimum wage for a private equity analyst position! and that is only here to profit on international students desesperation!
