The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Santa Rosa City Schools (Santa Rosa, CA) in Sept 2024
Interview
This interview was over Zoom, lasted about 20-30 minutes. It was very friendly and went smoothly. They mainly wanted to ensure that I was a normal person(as in not unhinged) and also about my education and why I wanted the job.
I sat before a panel of teachers, hiring managers, and a Vice Principal to respond to their questions about my background in education and previous jobs. I was asked to respond to commonly used interview questions, like "Why are you interested in this position''. It was a pretty straightforward interview process.

Question 1
Why are you interested in this position?
How would you address a situation where a student was clearly harassing another student?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Santa Rosa City Schools (Santa Rosa, CA) in Jun 2011
Interview
Spoke with the Director of Special Services regarding my interest. I was directed to apply online through EdJoin, which I did. It was a fairly simple process to apply through EdJoin, and it saves your application materials and letters of recommendation, which makes submitting applications for other jobs easier. I was then called in for an interview, during which I was asked about 10 questions by a panel of about 4 or 5 people. Questions ranged from how I would handle interpersonal conflict with a colleague, my clinical and work experience, familiarity with autism and other special populations, experience with Response to Intervention, etc. I was also asked to submit several examples of reports I had written, which I did.
