I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sandia National Laboratories in Nov 2021
Interview
The interview itself was pretty informal with the usual interview questions. The hiring managers were also very nice, curious about my interests, and open to answering any questions I had about relocating and summer activities.
I went through two rounds, including a pre-screening and a panel. I mostly had to answer STAR questions, and it was a smooth process. They asked me about leadership, what technologies I know, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary!

Interview
I'd say my interview was pretty straight forward. I had the first round with just the manager which was pretty much introductions and learning more about the role (about 30-45mins)and then on the second interview it was the manager and about 4 other members of the team This was a 1 hour interview where they looked into my resume and asked me questions about some of the stuff on there. The format of the questions where like, Why did you use a certain method to solve a problem, are there any scenarios where you would say that your method won't work and stuff like that. I also got questions like, Have you used (Skill) before and tell me more about what you used it for. Its also important to note SNL has a LOT of departments and so the interview might be different depending on the organization you're interviewing with.
