      Account Executive, Broker Channel Interview

      28 Jun 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Salt Lake City, UT
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sana Benefits (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jun 2024

      Interview

The interview process started with the company recruiter. Very helpful, thorough, and communicative. This was a phone call. First interview was with the hiring manager. It was a "get to know each other" interview with some questioning, but nothing to in depth. After that, the team sent me a broker case study that included sifting through mock brokerages and determining which one were likely to produce the most premium this upcoming year. Identify and explain why you thought that would be the case. A blank schedule was sent and I was asked to complete it (hour by hour). Basically showing how I'd run my week. The last peice of the case study was writing a letter to a broker and delivering an RFP. After I sent this in and the team reviewed it, I was sent a short 8 slide presentation to present to the CRO on my next interview. To assess my presentation style and skills. The second interview was with the CRO. It was much more technical and in depth. It included questions like "Tell me about a time you tried something new and it worked out" and "tell me about a time you ran in to a problem working with someone and why it was a problem." I was asked questions like, on the schedule you completed, was there anything you missed, or would put in it if you could go back and revise?" I presented in the 8 slide deck in 12 minute as requested on the call. Once I was done, I was asked, "if you could redo it would you add to it or change anything?" I was also asked similar questions about the RFP delivery email I wrote to a broker.
