I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at San Diego County Credit Union (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2017
Interview
Was called for a phone interview. Was asked which position I am applying for and if I'm willing to commute. I then was awarded another phone interview with the same lady who called me the first time. The interview lasted about 10 minutes. She said if they wanted to do a face to face interview then she will call me back or email. Didn't hear from her for about two weeks. Finally received an email stating I did not get the position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you willing to commute to a different branch that is in need of tellers?
The interview process was pretty easy. Just asked a couple of questions about different situations and how would you handle it. they also ask about your experience on customer service, and give an example on how you gained your experience.
The preliminary interview is a highly structured phone interview in which you will be asked about specific situations from your previous jobs. My review is negative because I don't do well with this type of interview. Before interviewing, be sure to be prepared to describe specific situations in which you dealt with an unhappy customer, disagreed with and resolved a conflict with your management, and initiated a change in protocol in your work environment. They really want a story about your past work, rather than a general statement about how you would respond to the situation their question proposed.
