HR called a couple days after submitting my resume. First interview was a panel of 2 people, both managers of accounting and finance department. Second interview was a week after the first and also 2 people panel, the COO and VP. The interview process was mostly describe about your work experiences and why you are a fit for the company. However, one question that kept coming up was, why didn't you continue your education and get a MBA? The position I interviewed for did not require a MBA and I had more than the required number of years in work experience. Did not hear from them again so contacted them and was told they are still interviewing and deciding. After the 3rd week, I had to contact them again and was told the position has been put on hold.
Too much focus on not having an MBA or higher degree for a position that does not need it.
