      Interview

I was invited to the SMAP Assessment Centre last April. Due to the MCO the whole assessment were conducted online. The whole process are taking so long. There are few stages of the assessment. First stage - quite easy. There's only few listening here and there, divided into a few group, and discussion were made. Debate between two groups, take your stand. I didn't make it to the third stage, so, yea that's all. All I can say is prepare your mental and be professional with your words and stand. More importantly be humble. Confidence also the key.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Samsung Electronics (Kuala Lumpur) in Jun 2021

      Interview

Stage 1:  Google Form Stage 2: Online Group Assessment Stage 1 (Role-play/Business situation games) Stage 3: Online Group Assessment Stage 2 (Role-play/Business situation games) - The game is designed to be fun and interesting. Still, due to the admin/HR team becoming too aggressively shutting off the applicants, I doubt there was no productive environment after all the processes. - If they want to test the applicant's ability to work under pressure, making negative comments explicitly is not always the way. During the assessment, negative comments are thrown everywhere without considering the applicant's view.  I can't believe there is still an MNC like this company that tolerate or encourage intimidation tactics during the interview process at this age. - Poor time management during the interview, too draggy, too long. This is just showing that they cannot assess the applicants efficiently. No respect on applicant's time. - Pray you will have a good group because it also depends on your group. If one/two applicants in your group are making some fuss during the interview (being too authoritative, over-confident, not flexible, trying hard to contribute), they will shut your group off. From my experience with another company assessment, they can effectively differentiate which applicants are the real troublemaker without generalising the whole group. - Apart from assessing the applicants, the interview is supposed to be a two-way medium for both applicants and the company to know each other properly. But I doubt this interview is the right place to do that. It is more like a competition who can stay and endure all the negative experiences.

      Interview

The assessment review session was super competitive. we were split into 4 different groups and had to present our discussion based on case study given. definitely a good experience gained and very much of a teamwork based session.

      Interview

I attended the virtual assessment center. My advice will be to remember as much information given during the assessment as possible since you can't refer back after that. The interviewers like to ask some tricky questions so prepare yourself.
