I was approached for a phone interview in one role after applying for another role. This was the least professional phone interview I have ever been a part of (I've done a lot). The recruiter literally called me saying hello and before I could even say hello back, he immediately started asking me to describe my most recent job experience. Normally in these calls you spend a minute or two introducing yourself and what the call is going to entail. This very much felt like one of those impersonal and scripted calls. The guy was literally reading off of a script and before you could elaborate on anything he would cut me off and start firing off the next question. It was very clear that all they cared about was your "quota attainment" and they could care less about what the actual job was.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
-Tell me about your most recent experience at X? -What percentage did you finish to plan?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (London, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
Interviews with recruitment, hiring manager and department director. Then a role play.
The interview process was quite insightful. They want you to bring some quite specific skills over with you around qualification and discovery
I applied online. I interviewed at Samsara in Dec 2025
Interview
This was the worst interview experience I’ve ever had. After being pushed quickly through 5 rounds of interviews and nothing but positive feedback I was told they would have a decision in one week I had a start date the month after. They completely ghosted me for more than a month then I got an an automated rejection email. The recruiter would text and call me to check in during the process and never heard from her after that. The sales managers that interviewed me seemed like very mediocre sales people that have never managed anyone and had no real insight into the position.
