I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (San Francisco, CA) in May 2023
Interview
Overall a great interview process. The recruiter was very engaged and responsive throughout the entire process, and even took the time to hop on the phone and field my questions. Everyone who I spoke with on the team was very intelligent yet also friendly and personable.

Question 1
First round with recruiter, then had a take-home case study that I presented to the hiring manager afterwards. Final round was a virtual onsite with several members of the finance team, and mainly consisted of STAR behavioral questions.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Samsara
Interview
Easily the most unprofessional process I've been involved with to date. The internal recruiter was late from another interview that ran over, cut my interview short to go to another interview directly after mine that was being prioritized, and rushed through the time without clarifying questions about the role.
Ultimately, was not moved on despite years of directly relevant experience and no issues with the interview questions, but was given no feedback/reasoning. Not only was my ask for feedback ignored, but they also (ironically) turned around and asked for feedback on the interview process.
Totally understand companies have hiring leverage in the current market but that hardly excuses the poor treatment of qualified candidates. It's a shame because it seems like a great opportunity at a great company overall but this process left a sour impression.
