I interviewed at Sai CPA Services (East Brunswick, NJ)
Interview
I was voluntarily reached by a recruiter via a phone call, without me applying to the job. They asked me to come for in-person interview, to which I agreed. They refused to share the salary range, despite me asking for it twice.
When I went in there, one of the team members (person A) came in stating the other member (person B) is on a phone call with them from India who will be conducting the interview.
They asked a few illegal questions - my current salary (in writing), marital status and race/ nationality. Person B also passed some false claims about US laws and regulations such as Govt. support for childcare etc.
They also asked me fill out an interview form asking for my "last" salary,

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sai CPA Services in Dec 2023
Interview
I had been there for an interview. I was offered immediately. I verbally accepted the offer. When it came to the employment contract, it was all one-sided. Firstly, they didn't agree to send the contact over the email. All they sent was the sample contract. HR couldn't answer any questions regarding the contract or the compensation. They refused to discuss the contact terms saying it was irritating. They said they would retain the bonus for one year, and I agreed to that. On the day of joining, they presented the contract wherein they said they would retain part of their salary too. Over and above, the salary offered was way below the market rate for a CPA. I walked out on the day of joining itself. I felt that I got saved from the scam.
