I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SWAT Systems in Nov 2021
Interview
I was asked to do a video interview, which ended up not being a zoom/teams call like I had assumed, but was meant to be a set of one way recordings of myself answering various questions. Felt very impersonal and about halfway through I decided I didn't like the vibe of a place with such an impersonal interview process, so I decided to retract my application. Very weird process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q: Please walk us through your most recent work experience that qualifies you for this position.
Q: What aspect of the role do you believe you would enjoy the most and why?
Q: Briefly explain what DNS is and how it would impact an average end user if DNS were to become unavailable.
(didn't go past that. Two incredibly generic interview questions that felt weird to answer without a person on the other end, followed by one nobrainer question that felt mildly insulting to be asked for a 'senior systems administrator' position. At this point decided it wasn't right for me, and bailed)
