There was a 20-minute phone screen, then I was scheduled for a several-hour onsite interview in which I talked to several members of the technical staff and the hiring manager.

I was coming out of a masters' program that included a thesis project. They asked about specific details of my project, and in particular how I verified that the tool I'd built worked.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at STR in May 2024

Initial 30 min. phone screen, followed by 30 min. technical interview, then a panel of 5 back-to-back technical interviews (30 min. each), followed by final 30 min. technical/personality interview. Received inital offer after last interview but then offer was rescinded 2 weeks later without a chance to provide additional input in the decision-making progress and with only a vague explanation for why. Very frustrating experience.

Met with several people, was asked some technical questions, took out to lunch.
Not the best culture, people seemed fine but it did not feel like it had the organization that you would a company working in their industry to have.
