Initial round of general informational interview. Questions regarding projects and background were asked. They explained the role and what they do, as well as asked a few basic questions pertaining the projects we talked about?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SRI International

Initial phone interview with HR (about 30 minutes). Followed up with Zoom interview with Hiring Manager, a week later.
A few weeks (~3) later, I was asked to present my research in front of a small group of multidisciplinary folks and had one-on-one meetings with them afterwards.
