I applied online. I interviewed at SPOTIO (Addison, TX) in Oct 2025
Interview
The process moves relatively quickly but is quite comprehensive. It started with a recorded screening video, followed by a live design test on a call for the first round. The final stage was a full in-person interview loop with the design and product teams, alongside the CTO and CEO.
It can feel a bit high-pressure and anxiety-inducing because of the live test and C-suite involvement, but the team is incredibly welcoming. If your background aligns well with what they are building, the conversations flow naturally. It’s a fantastic vetting process that ensures a good cultural and technical fit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Design a single UI component live in Figma, and then conceptually walk us through how you would approach a redesign for an entire screen.
I had 3 interviews (including the initial screen) and submitted an in-depth writing test. I had at least 4 B2B writing examples on my portfolio prior to the writing test.
Though I am grateful that the recruiter emailed me to let me know that I wasn't selected, I received no detailed feedback about why my personality or skills weren't the right fit for Spotio.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewers asked a mix of behavioral and skill-based questions.
The interview process was overall very positive! It was longer than I have had at other companies and that gave me a sense they were really working to find the best fit for many reasons, not just can you do the job, but how well you’d fit in with the company culture which I learned through the interviews is very supportive and collaborative. All the departments work closely together toward their goals and I found that incredibly refreshing.

If I could describe my process for pulling together to reach a goal that was falling behind.
