Interview process was consisting of three stages:
1) English and Mandarin assessment, consisting of language assessment and scenarios)
2) 1st stage interview with the HR
3) Final interview with the hiring manager.
I easily passed the assessment and first interview with the HR recruiter, which mainly consisted of a role play session. He even gave a positive feedback and promised to help arrange for the final interview with the hiring manager.
However suddenly without warning, I was informed by the same HR recruiter that interviewed me during the first round, that I was not shortlisted for the second interview. And when I pressed for a more concrete reason either the cliché answer that most companies normally give, there was no response despite me attempting to get hold of him.
Overall I am deeply disappointed by this outcome, and this clearly shows how unprofessional they are in the hiring process.
