I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at S&P Global (New York, NY) in Aug 2021
Interview
2 rounds, 2 people each round. No technical Qs, pretty easy overall if you prepare for the basic questions such as strengths and weaknesses, why you want to work there, etc.
Personal fit mostly. Basic questions about finance. Also you have to show that you know a bit about the company. what they do etc. Ratings process different from market intelligence
I applied online. I interviewed at S&P Global in Feb 2023
Interview
I had 3 rounds of interviews – 1 with a recruiter, with the hiring manager and then with the Director of the Business segment I applied to. The interview questions were rather generic, but did focus on your technical skillset as well as the soft ones. Despite a great offer, the onboarding was actually the troublesome part – every employee is required to undergo a VERY thorough background check. If you lived in more than 2 places in the past 7 years, you will have to collect all the police check clearances on your own and at your own expenses, which affects your start date (for me it got pushed 4 times).

Question 1
Why do you want to work for S&P? What in the role description attracted you?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at S&P Global (Moscow, Moskva) in Feb 2022
Interview
The process was smooth and well-organized. Environment wasn’t stressful and interviewers were kind and supportive. I had two interviews and a short test. Test wasn’t too hard, it asks you questions about capital markets, to see how much do you know so they can find you a suited training.
