I interviewed at S&P Global for a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering role and went through multiple rounds, including a virtual round followed by an in-person round at the Noida office.
After completing all rounds, I was informed that I had been selected and was asked to complete document verification. I also had an HR discussion where compensation was finalized and was told that the offer letter would be released within a day.
For the next 3–4 days, I was under the impression that the offer would be issued shortly. However, I was later informed that the position had been put on hold and was advised to consider other opportunities.
This sequence of events was unexpected, especially after final confirmation and compensation discussion. While the interview process itself was structured, the final stage communication could have been handled with better clarity and alignment.
