They had an optional camp called L.I.T. for children that taught them the basics of being a camp counselor in the years prior. After completing the course, I applied with a resume and was taken to meet the camp director and one of the head staff. They asked a few questions and I was brought on as a volunteer. I'm sure that there are more intense questions and scrutiny if you attempt to go as a full counselor.
