I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY) in Nov 2019
Interview
First apply online and then asked to complete an excel exam. Once excel exam is passed had an hour long interview with HR which was very in-depth for an "informational interview" so be prepared. After that was asked to come to a superday in NYC where myself and 5-6 other candidates rotated interviews with 5 different DMM/VP/Buyer and the same HR Recruiter again.
HR was extremely engaged and helpful throughout the process, and was very accommodating with travel arrangements. I had great conversations with 3 out of 4 interviewers, however one VP was extremely condescending and rude, and actually made me feel bad about myself and the company afterwards. Received a phone call a few days after, right before a Holiday weekend from the recruiter, in which she left a voicemail saying to call her back as she had an update. Finally got in touch with her after the long weekend for her to tell me that the company "went in another direction," and refused to offer any further feedback and was actually rude, even though we developed a nice relationship. Really?? If no feedback can be given to the candidate, you may as well just send a rejection email.
inpersonal, recruiter seemed like she did not want to be there, loud and noisy background. QUick interview boring behavioral questions. We reviewed my resume. Thats reall all. Werid skills tests and excel tests.

Interview
I went through and introduction interview, and was told that the main team lead was on vacation, but would go through formal interviews once they got back. I sent multiple emails in the coming month, even just to get an official NO. The job is still posted and I have never been contacted again.

Question 1
Why do you think you would be a good fit for this role?
The interview went ok but they never closed the loop with me/didn't tell me that they weren't going to proceed with me as a candidate. She asked me about the salary I wanted and seemed taken aback by what I asked for even though I don't think it was unreasonable.
