I applied online. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Virginia Beach, VA) in Aug 2013
Interview
I heard about the position from a friend and they were my reference for the application process; they were a current employee at the time. I submitted my application online and went through a battery of surveys. Had a call from the hiring manager to come in for an interview. Brought in to the back manager office and asked a few questions. It was a semi-structured interview.
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
