I submitted my resume through a friend of a friend. I talked to a recruiter who didn't know anything about marketing, so I had to educate her. I talked to the hiring manager on the phone, who spent the whole time selling the company to me and not really asking me any questions about my background. I followed up with recruiting who said they decided not to pursue my candidacy. Then a week later, she contact me and said she was mistaken--it was another candidate--and could I come in. After trotting into the office on 3 different occasions, I met the CMO, whom I liked. I was offered the job and accepted it.
