Simple and straightforward process. End to end the whole loop took about a month and a half. 1) Recruiter Screen 2) Hiring Manager Discussion 3) Interview loop with 3 leaders (2 leaders on the team I was interviewing for, 1 leader from another team). I really enjoyed every conversation and person I interacted with, except for the final discussion with the leader from a different team. An hour before that discussion, the recruiter emailed me and asked if we could reschedule. I was annoyed but said sure, and we confirmed a new time. Not 5 minutes later the recruiter reached back out saying "NVM let's stick with the original time." Turns out, the leader I was to interview with had come back from vacation overseas the night before and had only gotten 5 hours of sleep. Right of the get go she was ornery and rude. She also said she only had 30 minutes even though we had 45 minutes scheduled. She sarcastically started by asking about my "vErY iMpReSsIvE rEsUmE...". I was truly caught off-guard, but shook it off and walked her through my story. From that point on, she just didn't really listen to any of my answers to her questions. She was distracted and mixing topics from my earlier answers into present ones, and then pushing back saying how it didn't make sense. I really had no idea how to react. I tried correcting her and saying that answer was from an earlier topic, but she continued to be rude and dismiss my responses. Also, I come from an M&A consulting background, and she found a way to brag about how she used to manage M&A at Roku (although she was now a leader in content PROGRAM MANAGEMENT). I found this very hard to believe but went with the flow and tried to relate with her. She had no banking, PE, consulting or Corp Dev experience at all. That all being said, she still found a way to question my experience and seemed to think she knew better how post deal integrations worked. I didn't argue but was just bewildered at how unprofessional and petty this woman was. A perfect example of "confidently incorrect". She was terrible and I am relieved I never have to see her again. I loved the hiring manager and the rest of the team though!
