Internal recruiter found me on LinkedIn; initially, the job was going to be Austin. I refused that location, but told them I'd be open to a Bay Area role (at the time). So I was forwarded to a similar group. Had a phone round, thought I did pretty meh with the question. To my surprise, they brought me in anyway.
I was DOA after the first interviewer: a director that obsessed on a small part of my work history; like he was trying to catch me in a lie. His defence: well, we want to make sure you'll stick around! Right.
The rest of the interview I treated like a practice for other interviews that I had booked. The questions were straight out of hackerrank or Meyers c++ problems. I did get an ultra Roku player for my suffering. I guess that's something. I've subsequently gave it away to a friend.
